Blood pressure could be lowered by walnut diet
Blood pressure is a serious health condition, and it’s directly responsible for many big diseases like heart and kidney failure. Millions around the globe suffer with high blood pressure, and there has been no proper permanent solution for it, except keeping it under control.
A new study has revealed the connection between walnuts and the blood pressure. It has been proved in this study that walnuts can help lower the blood pressure.
Patients, who suffer from higher from high blood pressure due to the bad cholesterol, were found to be benefited from the walnut diet.
Speaking to the occasion, Professor Sheila West from Penn State University, has told this is the first scientific study that proves connection between blood pressure and walnuts.
The research team divided the test takers into three groups, and assigned them with three different diets. The first one with walnut diet, second one with walnuts and flaxseed oil, and the third one with a non walnut diet.
The patients who were given the walnut diet were able to control their blood pressure to good extent. The study findings also showed flaxseed oil reducing the heart risk by increasing arteries’ anti-inflammatory effect.
