Osteoporosis drug found to be effective against oral cancer In a recent study conducted at Ohio State University in the United States, the scientists found osteoporosis drug to be effective against the oral cancer. Scientists have conducted several tests on the mice, and these results showed osteoporosis drug (zoledronic acid) working well in controlling the oral cancer in the mice. This study brings a new ray of hope in the head and neck cancer patients, as this could turn out to be a supplemental therapy for them in additional to the available treatments. This drug, zoledronic acid is currently approved by FDA for the treatment of osteoporosis.
